| Barry Manilow’s Copacabana, the story of Lola as told through the eyes of Stephen, a present day aspiring songwriter whose imagination takes him back to the 1940s when “music and passion were always the fashion” at the Copacabana nightclub. When dancer Lola arrives in New York with show biz aspirations, bartender and composer Tony falls for her as she becomes a famous ‘Copa’ girl. The villainous Rico is also besotted with Lola whisking her away to Havana. From this exotic, distant world, a tale of love, jealousy and murder unfold…. |
